FROSTBITE LEAGUE, ROUND SIX, HUNTINGDON, SUNDAY 2ND MARCH 2003
In the 5m-road race at Huntingdon on 02/03/03, a weaker than usual Ely Runners team came across some fearsome opposition from Riverside Runners (306pts) and Hunts AC (408pts) so that in the circumstances 3rd place (489pts) was the best they could possibly have done. Ely Runners’ eventual aim was to secure 2nd overall (out of 17) in the series, and that is what was achieved. This seasons FROSTBITE results were far in excess of Ely Runners’ early expectations because after a poor start they only expected to finish about 6th. FROSTBITE team manager, Peter Harris thanked all the 34 members who took part in at least one of these races. The results from Huntingdon are:
