New Year's Eve 10k - Key Info

The Race centre is located at :-
Village Hall & Cricket Club,  Little Downham, Ely, CB6 2ST
(several miles North of Cambridge)
(See Location Maps) Start Time: 11:00 am.

This race accepts  ON-LINE entries Only 
(We are not equipped to deal with paper entries)
PLEASE NOTE:

1) We will NOT be accepting entries on the day.
2) Online entries will close as soon as we have reached the limit
3) Race numbers to be collected at the Race Centre on the day of the race.
4) The time limit for the race is 1 hour 20 minutes

Bad Weather - The race will go ahead under all but the most extreme weather conditions. Please check this web site for announcements if the weather appears to give reason for concern. Despite low temperatures and snow, the race has never been cancelled. If it is possible for determined runners to arrive, then the race will be on.

Course and event record holders are:

• 2009 1^st man Will Clarke (Cambridge Tri Club) in 30:05,
• 2009 1^st woman Felicity Milton (Woodford Green AC with Essex Ladies) in 34:20

These will be presented ASAP as follows:

1st Man	Engraved pewter tankard + £130 cash
1st Woman	Engraved pewter goblet + £130 cash
2nd Man & 2nd Woman	£70 cash
3rd Man & 3rd Woman	£35 cash
1st Veteran Man (5 years M40-75+)	£25 cash
1st Veteran Woman (5 years W35-70+)	£25 cash

 

Finishers' Drink

All finishers will receive either:

• a 500ml bottle of beer,
• a non-alcoholic alternative (also bottled, 500ml or so). (NB this is obligatory for finishers under 18 years of age)

Early arrival car parking, changing, showers & toilets (indoor and trailer) at the Cricket Club. Race HQ, number collection, toilets, refreshments & presentation of prizes at the Village Hall.  More car parking in designated areas in the village.
