Welcome to Ely Runners

Ely Runners Coronavirus Training Update as of March 16th 2021

We are currently in Tier 4 and this means that:

  • Senior (18+) club training is stopped until further notice and booking sheets will remain locked.
  • The 'rule of six’ no longer applies outdoors.
  • Individuals may still train or take part in virtual events alone or with one other, socially distanced.
  • Run locally for training or virtual events.

In-line with the latest government and EA update our intention are:

  • To restart once-a-week in-person club senior training from 7pm on Thursday 1st April.
  • We will have pre-booked groups of 12 (+1 run leader) running in covid-secure environments.
  • We do hope to return to more normal training later in the summer, this is just a measured first step.
Full details on reduced restrictions from England Athletics.

Self Arranged Running with 1 other person

  • The Ely Runners training schedule is still available on the website along with maps and routes.

  • For now, our wildly popular Beginners 5k training course is suspended. It will return when we are able to stage it. Watch this space.
