Cambridgeshire AA Road Race League
Overview
Rules
The Cambridgeshire AA Road Race League is open to first claim members of Cambridgeshire AA affiliated clubs - this includes Ely Runners.
Currently (2014) club standings are calculated on the best 7 event
results of 8 events, and if a team finishes in all eight races their worst score is deleted. Ladies and Men's teams - three to score and team scoring will be based on 10 points for 1st down to 1 point for 10th. Incomplete teams are still counted, with the additional athletes made up by adding an additional score per missing athlete equivalent to the total number of finishers in the race.
Individual standings based on best 5 event results
from 8 events, the best (lowest) five scores will count for the individual competition. In 2014 scoring will be as follows: For individual seniors Male and Female it is 30 down to 1 for the first 30 finishers irrespective of age, and for Age Groups 10 down 1 for first 10 finishers in Age Groups as follows:
Awards: Prizes are awarded to the first three individual women and first three individual men, and the first three women's teams and the first three men's teams. Presentation of prizes takes place at the Cambridgeshire AA AGM in November.

County Champinships
To qualify for Cambs AA championships, athletes must be resident or born in Cambridgeshire and not have competed in any other counties championships in the competition year.
2014 CAMBS ROAD RACE LEAGUE 2014
2014 Race Calendar (top placed male/female ER with CRRL points won in brackets): 23/3/14 - Thorney 10k In the league standings Ely Runners finished 7th in the men's league (28 points) and 12th in the ladies league (22 points) - the leagues were won by NVH (64 points) and March AC (58 points) repsectively. Our top placed individuals in the senior standings were Richard Hill (13th with 74 points) and Zoe Shackleton (39th with 29 points). The individual honours went to Adam Birch (NVH) with 142 points and Lisa Marriott (Ramsey RR) with 144 points.

Ely Men 2nd and Ely Women 7th
2013 Race Calendar (top placed male/female ER with CRRL place in brackets): 24/3/13 - Thorney 10k (Cancelled) After completion of this 8 race series, Ely Runners Men finished 2nd of 22 participating teams with 161 points with the winners being NVH (173 points).
Ely Runners Ladies finished 7th of 19 participating
teams with 115 points. The winning Ladies team was C&C
with 137 points.
The Men's individual results were based on the best of
5 races . Three Ely Runners finished in the top 10:
In the Ladies individual results, Alison Blaney finished in 3rd place overall with 52points. The winner was Sarah Wightman of C&C with 12 points.

Men finished 12th of 21 participating teams with 86 points with the winners being
NVH (150 points).
Ely Runners Ladies finished 12th of 19 participating
teams with 72 points. The winning Ladies team was Werrington Joggers
with 144 points.
The Men's individual results were based on the best of
4 races, but no ER completed enough races to score in the individual event.. The winner was Josh Lunn of NVH with 12 points.
In the Ladies individual results, no ER completed enough races to score in the individual event. The overall winner was Philippa Taylor of NVH with 5 points.

2011 Race Calendar: 27/3/11 - Thorney 10k - (55th Lionel Smith & 72nd Heidi Uff)
After completion of this 8 race series, Ely Runners
Men finished 11th of 21 participating teams with 116 points with the winners being
Werrington Joggers (172 points).
Ely Runners Ladies finished 11th of 19 participating
teams with 101 points. The winning Ladies team was Werrington Joggers
with 166 points.
The Men's individual results were based on the best of
5 races and the only ER to complete enough races in the series was Lionel Smith. Lionel finished in 16th place overall with 264 points. The winner was Michael Moore of Werrington with 5 points.
In the Ladies individual results, no ER completed enough races to score in the individual event. The overall winner was Philippa Taylor of NVH with 5 points.
